Routaroo – Account & Data Deletion

This page describes how users can request the deletion of their account and associated personal data for the Routaroo mobile application, developed and published by Ocean Wang. You may request full account and data deletion either within the mobile application or directly via web/email without needing the app installed.

2. How to Request Account Deletion
We provide two convenient methods to submit an account deletion request:
Method A: Web / Email Request (No App Installation Required)
If you have uninstalled the Routaroo app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can submit your request directly by emailing our support team:
- Send an email to contact@routaroo.org from the email address registered with your Routaroo account.

[Routaroo] Account Deletion Request. -
In the body of your email, please confirm:
- Your registered email address.
- Your family name or primary parent display name configured in Routaroo (to help us verify account ownership).
- Our team will acknowledge your request, verify ownership of the account, and execute the deletion within 30 calendar days.
Method B: In-App Request
- Open the Routaroo app on your Android device.
- Ensure you are signed in to your parent account.
- Navigate to Settings > Help & Feedback or your parent profile.
- Submit a deletion request or tap Delete Account, then confirm the prompt.
3. Types of Data That Will Be Deleted
Upon processing an account deletion request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our live production databases:
- Account Credentials & Identifiers: Your email address, encrypted authentication tokens, and sign-in credentials.
- Family & Household Profile: Family name, parent display names, timezone configurations, and household preferences.
- Child Profiles: Child names/nicknames, avatars, age group selections, and child device pairing tokens.
- Quests, Chores & Habits: All created tasks, schedules, chore checklists, completion records, and parent approval histories.
- Star Economy & Rewards: Accumulated star balances, weekly/daily star goals, reward catalogs, and reward redemption histories.
- Feedback & Diagnostics: User-submitted feedback submissions and associated device diagnostic logs linked to your parent account.
4. Data Retention Policy & Exceptions
When an account is deleted, all personal data and family content described above are permanently purged. Limited data may be retained only under the following specific circumstances:
- Legal, Tax & Regulatory Compliance: If required by applicable laws or regulatory requirements, minimal transaction timestamps or audit records may be retained for the period mandated by law.
- Google Play Subscription Records: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed directly by Google Play (and validated via RevenueCat). Google maintains financial transaction histories according to its own privacy policy and legal requirements. Routaroo cannot access or alter Google's financial records.
- Security & Abuse Prevention: Temporarily archived system backups are overwritten and purged in accordance with our routine backup retention lifecycle (within 30 days).
Important Note on Active Subscriptions:
Deleting your Routaroo account does not automatically cancel active recurring subscriptions managed by Google Play.
To avoid future billing, please cancel any active subscriptions directly through your Google Play account:
Google Play Store > Profile Icon > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions > Routaroo > Cancel Subscription.
5. Processing Timeline
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 calendar days of receiving and verifying your request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and all associated data have been permanently removed.
